Fundraiser Mini Toast Preview!

Posted in Uncategorized by SYZYGYNEWMUSIC on March 31, 2010

So the Syzygy fundraiser is less than 24 hours away and Sarah, Frank and I have been slaving away in the kitchen making all sorts of delicious and spectacularly beautiful food for all of you.  So delicious and so spectacularly beautiful in fact, that I decided it was worth taking pictures and writing a blog post about. I figure that if I were on the fence about whether or not to go to a fundraiser concert/party, lots of photographs of tasty looking food might just be the deciding factor.  Hopefully some of you will think along the same lines…

So far on the menu we have three different types of miniature toast crostini:

Pecorino romano with parsley, garlic and scallions…

…cream cheese and smoked salmon with dill and scallions…

…egg salad with paprika and a parsley garnish.

We also have dozens of pretty little miniature cupcakes in assorted colours…

…and depending on whether or not we have time, we might have some other nibbly things involving vegetables.

So…if you come to our fundraiser tomorrow, not only will you be able to enjoy cheap drinks aplenty, support Syzygy and listen to live music by Natti Vogel, The Isaac Jaffe Quintet and the howl (theory), you’ll get to eat well too!  All great reasons to head over to Brown Paper Tickets now to make your advance reservation.

And just in case you’re missing the details, the event will take place tomorrow (Thursday April 1st) from 7:00-10:00 PM at SOLAS (232 E9th St. between 2nd and 3rd Ave).  Admission is $10 in advance and $15 at the door, and all proceeds will go towards funding our future concerts.  Stop by at any time and stay for as long as you’d like!

Hope to see all of you tomorrow!
